The Carmike Wynnsong 10 opened on Thursday, June 29, 1995 with 6 THX screens.

Carmike Northgate 8

In operation. At this point, I'm unsure if this was a newly-constructed theatre or an old theatre (such as the Northgate 3,4,5,6) that was divided and/or expanded. The Northgate 8 came into being during the July 1990 to July 1992 time period.

Carmike Bijou 7

In operation. Opened during the July 1996 to December 1996 time period.

Carmike Southgate 5 [Martin]

In operation. I assumed the Southgate 5 to be the old Southgate Triple and Southgate Twin, expanded and/or divided. Opened during the January 1975 to July 1975 time period by Martin Theatres with two screens with the name Southgate Twin. It became a 3-screen theatre during the July 1978 to July 1980 time period and was called the Southgate Triple. It became a 5-screen theatre, the Southgate 5, during the July 1980 to July 1982 time period.

Regal Hamilton Cinema 9 [United Artists?]

In operation. Opened as the Hamilton Place Cinemas during the July 1988 to December 1988 time period by United Artists Theatres (unsure, until I find the actual grand opening ad). Became a Regal theatre during the January 1991 to July 1991 time period. Stadium seating was added later.

Regal Hamilton Cinema 10-17

In operation. Opened during the January 1992 to July 1992 time period.

Regal Northgate Crossing 6 [Litchfield]

In operation. Opened during the January 1983 to July 1983 time period by Litchfield Theatres. It was originally called the Litchfield Cinemas.

Plaza 58 Theatre

Opened during the July 1972 to July 1974 time period. Closed during the July 2000 to July 2002 time period. Listed as being run by Storey Theatres in some 1970s ads.

Carmike East Ridge 6 [Martin]

Opened during the July 1982 to December 1982 time period by Martin Theatres. Closed during the July 2000 to July 2002 time period.

Carmike Four Square 3 [Martin]

Opened during the July 1979 to December 1979 time period by Martin Theatres. It was called Cinema 3 when it first opened. Closed during the July 1998 to July 2000 time period.

Carmike Eastgate Triple

Opened during the July 1964 to July 1968 time period. Was run by ABC Southeastern during at least the July 1970 to July 1978 time period. Became 2 screens during the July 1972 to July 1974 time period. Became a Plitt theatre during the July 1978 to July 1980 time period. Became 3 screens during the July 1980 to July 1982 time period. Became a Carmike theatre during the July 1990 to July 1992 time period. Closed during the July 1992 to July 1994 time period.

Opened as the Northgate Cinema during the July 1970 to July 1972 time period by Martin Theatres. Became 2 screens (the Northgate 1 and 2) during the July 1980 to July 1982 time period. Closed during the July 1990 to July 1992 time period.

Opened as the Northgate 2 and 3 during the July 1974 to July 1975 time period by Martin Theatres. Became 4 screens (the Northgate 3, 4, 5, and 6) during the last weekend of June 1982. Closed during the July 1990 to July 1992 time period.

Carmike Showcare 1 and 2

Opened during the July 1968 to July 1970 time period with one screen (Showcase Cinema). Became 2 screens (Showcase 1 and 2) during the July 1970 to July 1972 time period. Became a Martin Theatre during the July 1976 to July 1978 time period?? Closed during the July 1989 to July 1990 time period.

Rivervue Theatre

Opened during the July 1970 to July 1972 time period. Adult theatre. At 1103 Hixson Pike. Was the Riviera earlier. Later spelled Riverview. Closed during the July 1976 to July 1978 time period.

Village Theatre

Opened during the July 1968 to July 1970 time period. Rocking Chairs. Closed during the July 1970 to July 1972 time period (or changed names?).

Midtown Twin Cinemas

Opened during the July 1968 to July 1970 time period. Located at 920 Market Street. Adult theatre. Closed during the July 1974 to July 1976 time period.

Marbro Drive-In

Opened during the July 1968 to July 1970 time period. Located at 6055 Lee Hwy. Closed during the July 1984 to July 1986 time period.

Liberty Theatre

Opened during the July 1958 to July 1960 time period. Located on East 9th Street. Research is questionable since there was a Liberty in Chacamauga, GA. Closed during the July 1964 to July 1968 time period.

Martin Theatre

Opened during the July 1960 to July 1964 time period. Located at 626 Market Street. Closed during the July 1978 to July 1980 time period.

Rogers Theatre

Opened during the July 1950 to July 1952 time period. Later Rogers Rocking Chair Theatre? Located at 915 Market Street? Closed during the July 1974 to July 1976 time period.

23rd Street Drive-In

Opened during the July 1950 to July 1952 time period. Closed during the July 1980 to July 1982 time period.

Lookout Drive-In

Opened during the July 1950 to July 1952 time period. Located at Birmingham and Cummings Highways. Closed during the July 1956 to July 1958 time period.

58 Highway Drive-In

Opened during the July 1950 to July 1952 time period. Located at 2083 Dodson Avenue. Closed during the July 1972 to July 1974 time period.

Broad Street Drive-In

Opened during the July 1950 to July 1952 time period. Closed during the July 1978 to July 1980 time period.

Opened during the July 1948 to July 1950 time period. Located on Ringgold Road. Closed during the July 1958 to July 1960 time period.

Starlight Drive-In

Opened during the July 1948 to July 1950 time period. Later spelled Starlite. Located on McFarland Road, Rossville. Closed during the July 1958 to July 1960 time period.

Ft. Oglethorpe Theatre

Opened during the July 1948 to July 1950 time period. Closed during the July 1954 to July 1956 time period.

Red Bank Drive-In

Opened during the July 1948 to July 1950 time period. Located at Red Bank. Closed during the July 1980 to July 1982 time period.

Fox Theatre

Opened during the July 1945 to July 1948 time period. Located at Red Bank. Closed during the July 1954 to July 1956 time period.

Skyway Drive-In

Opened during the July 1940 to July 1945 time period. Located on Brainerd Road. Had 650 car speakers in 1952. Closed during the July 1958 to July 1960 time period. Eastgate Mall was built on the site of it.

Capitol Theatre

Opened during the July 1940 to July 1945 time period. A Trans-Lux Theatre. Located on Market Street. Closed during the July 1964 to July 1968 time period.

Dixie Theatre

Opened during the July 1935 to July 1940 time period. Closed during the July 1958 to July 1960 time period.

Riviera Theatre

Opened during the July 1935 to July 1940 time period. Located on Hixson Pike. Closed during the July 1956 to July 1958 time period. Later became an adult theatre.

Bonita Theatre

Opened during the July 1930 to July 1935 time period. Was a Dixie Theatre, Dowler directed. Closed during the July 1935 to July 1940 time period.

Bijou Theatre

Ritz Theatre

Opened during the July 1925 to July 1930 time period. Located in Rossville. Closed during the July 1954 to July 1956 time period.

Cameo Theatre

Opened during the July 1925 to July 1930 time period. Located at Market and 6th. Closed during the July 1948 to July 1950 time period.

Park Theatre

Opened during the July 1925 to July 1930 time period. Located on McCallie Avenue. Closed during the July 1958 to July 1960 time period.

State Theatre

Opened during the July 1925 to July 1930 time period. Closed during the July 1960 to July 1964 time period.

Tivoli Theatre

Opening date: 1921/03/19

Opened March 19, 1921. Designed by Rapp and Rapp architectural firm of Chicago. Built to accommodate silent movies and live stage productions. Air-conditioned in 1926. Bought by Paramount Studios in 1926. Located at 709 Broad Street. Wired for sound in 1929. Closed in 1961. Reopened in 1963 after a partial renovation. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Purchased by the City of Chattanooga in 1976. Reopened March 29, 1989 for synphony, opera, concerts, dance, and Broadway shows.

Rialto Theatre

Existed in 1925. Closed during the July 1950 to July 1952 time period.

American Theatre

Existed in 1925. Located on Main Street. Closed during the July 1956 to July 1958 time period.
