Regal Cinema 8 [Martin]

Opening date: 1984/06/08

This theatre originally opened as the Cinema 4 on Friday, June 8, 1984. The theatre was constructed by Martin Cinemas of Kentucky, Inc., headquartered in Columbus, GA. Roy Martin III, president of Martin Cinemas, said that the cost of construction was more then $500000. The entire complex originally seated around 1000 with around 250 seats per auditorium. It is located at 2211 North Jackson Street in Tullahoma. The complex was later expanded to 8 auditoriums and is now operated by Regal Cinemas.

Marshall Theatre

No longer in operation. Existed in 1954 and seated 1200. Was twinned sometime between May 1978 and May 1982 (upstairs and downstairs auditoriums). Was still in operation in July 1986.

Mecca Theatre

No longer in operation. Existed in 1954. Seated 600.

Strand Theatre

No longer in operation. Existed in 1954. Seated 300.

Lyric Theatre

No longer in operation? In Manchester. Existed in 1954. Closed sometime between 1962 and 1966? Seated 474.

Arnold Drive-In

No longer in operation. Was located on Manchester Highway. Existed in 1954. Closed sometime between August 1982 and July 1986.

Space Age Drive-In

No longer in operation. Was located on New Shelbyville Highway. Opened sometime between December 1968 and August 1970. Closed sometime between August 1982 and July 1986.

Plaza Drive-In

No longer in operation. Was located on New Manchester Highway. Existed in 1954. Closed sometime between June 1956 and July 1962.

Andy's Drive-In

No longer in operation. (Near Manchester) Was located on US 41 6 miles north of Manchester. Existed before 1956. Closed before or during 1956. Auctioned on May 26, 1956?
