This theatre opened on March 5, 1998 as Huntsville's first theatre with digital sound and stadium seating in all auditoriums. The theatre also was the only Huntsville theatre with adjustable screen masking in all of its auditoriums. The first night (a Thursday), the theatre ran a bunch of movies, all $1.00 each, all starting at 8:00:
